I had a dream come true today!!!
This morning, Papa said we could wait a while to go out to feed our animals because it was so cold. Little did I know my parents had a horse for me, and were using this extra time to get their plans all worked out. So finally I walked out and there it was, tied to a post. It scared me out of my wits! I almost ran, but then it hit me that you're not supposed to run at a horse! I had met this horse before, but had no idea she would become mine!
This picture was taken just after I found her!
She is the sweetest, mildest horse you could ever imagine. I led her around, and rode her, and groomed her, and fed her some hay....and treats, of course. (Later in the day I bought some more, because I used the others all up!) And, no, she did not get a tummy ache!
For the horse-lovers, I will tell you...my Grandpa said she does have some Tennessee Walker in her. And he mentioned Appaloosa, but I am not sure of all that. I named her Daisy. She is 6 years old.
My parents were able to get her free! A lady in our horse club gave her to our family (without me knowing), and my parents gave her to me as my very own.
This has always been my dream...to have a horse tied to a post outside the house on my birthday with a red bow tied around it's neck. Once again, I LOOOOOOOVE her!!!!!
Later on, I went with my Grandpa to put her into her pasture

Happy Trails, Heather H.
How incredibly awesome!! I can not even imagine owning a horse. I had a bad horse riding experience in high school and I've been horse shy since, but your new Daisy is just beautiful. Take good care of her. Your parents are very special to do that for you. =]
Congrats, Emilie!! You must be so very excited!! Hope you had a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
